To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd, Interstellar Overdrive will be performing the band’s greatest achievement, rock opera The Wall in its entirety! And they’re going to build a wall onstage! Joining them will be many special guests, including the Brick Kids choir! There will be tons of surprises, and more great music beyond The Wall as well, all part of celebrating this incredible band’s great 50 year legacy.
INTERSTELLAR OVERDRIVE gives you the power, emotion and wonder of a 70’s Waters/Gilmour era Pink Floyd concert. The show is a reverential three-plus hours, including selections from Animals, The Wall, Wish You Were Here, Dark Side of the Moon, and more, and often features more than one classic album in its entirety, just as Floyd themselves did. A blinding light show and a huge round video screen are just a part of the experience.
The brainchild of Filament’s Byron Neighbors, Interstellar Overdrive has been years in the making, finally coming together when bassist Imre (Tad) Komaromi and drummer John Lazar stepped up to form the core of the band. Other musicians local to the Columbia/Jefferson City area have joined along the way, including Keyboardist Michael Kivett, Guitarist Justin Odom, Saxophonist Ryan Donohue, and vocalists Ruth Acuff, Mary Liebovich, and Allison Stamschror, are all among the best musicians the area has offer.
