King of the Roots is back! Join us for a battle of the bands competition where regional artists are selected to showcase their performance skills on stage for the local public. Six bands will compete, and the winner from the event will perform on stage at The 2018 Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival. Admission will be $5 at the door and the proceeds from the night will go to the Blues in the Schools program, which helps further the exposure of young minds to cultural diversity through music.
The 2018 Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival will be held on Friday, Sept. 28 through Sunday, Sept. 30. Tickets can be purchased online at rootsnbluesnbbq.com, at the MSA/GPC Box Office in the Student Center on the University of Missouri campus or at Vinyl Renaissance & Audio of Columbia, 11 S. 9th Street.
